Stamping Saturday: Feeling Inspired

I cannot believe the holiday season is already upon us!  Truth be told, I am thankful that 2016 is almost over.  I had such high hopes for this year but despite a few shining moments the majority of the year has not been so great for me or my family.  Usually by this time I am sad to see the year end but this year I'm looking forward to it and cannot wait to see what 2017 has in store!

One of the things I am SO glad that has happened this year is me stamping again!!  I have my first Stampin' Up! class next Saturday and am busy getting everything all together.  It's going to be a small event with some of my girls from my old classes back in the day which should be a blast!  To break up the monotony of continuous cardstock cutting I thought I would participate in Verve's November Inspiration Challenge while it's still November!

Since I am really trying to get back into scrapbooking I decided to create a few Project Life inserts.  Every year we do the candlelight vigil at our church on Christmas Eve and I always take a few pictures to document the occasion and I think this color combo would be perfect!

I drew my inspiration from not only the color combo but also the star on top of the blue Christmas tree.  It reminded me of my Flurry of Wishes stamp set so I just ran with it!  I stamped my snowflakes in Night of Navy, Sahara Sand, and Soft Sky which is such a gorgeous color combo!  I stamped a few more snowflakes and used the Snow Flurry punch to punch them out.  Pop a few of them up on dimensional, add a little Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the center and there you go!  I also used a Sakura glitter pen to really make the sentiment pop.

I was going to stop here but since I was digging the color combo so much I figured I would make another little insert.

I loved the little "limbs" on the Christmas trees so that's what I went for in my second card as well as this yummy color combo.  I have really been trying to use up some of my old Stampin' Up! designer paper from the past and found that I still had some Wintergreen DSP which if I'm not mistaken is from the 2011 holiday catalog.  I didn't have any other scraps that fit the color scheme so on the smaller tag I used the star from my Tin of Tags set (which happens to be on SALE right now!) and made my own pattered paper using Soft Sky ink.

I was wanting a more vintage feel to this card so I sponged the edges of all the papers in Sahara Sand, rounded all the corners, added a button, and some gold cord and there you go!

I am LOVING how these look so far and can't wait to show you the page once I get it finished.

Oh and one final little note...

Items up to 40% off?!  Um yes please!!  Just in time for all of your Christmas needs.  Hurry while supplies last!!

OK enough procrastinating...back to the cardstock cutting! ;)
