Yesterday my family received a postcard in the mail from some dear friends of ours notifying us that they just purchased their first house! I have been feeling better day by day (thank you Jesus!) and have been dying to get into my new Stampin' Up! goodies. What better way than to make my friends a congratulations card!
I love how it turned out! Like always, the picture does not do it justice.
The other thing I love about this card is my new Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series paper which is also from the 2017 Occasions catalog. I have a class coming up March 11th and it will be featuring this gorgeous paper but I had to take a little and have some fun with it.
I sponged the edges with Chocolate Chip ink to give it more of an aged look and added some Assorted Metallic Sequins and some Bermuda Bay Thick Bakers Twine to dress it up a bit.
I hope our friends love this card as much as I do! :)

I have been missing some of my favorite challenges lately so I thought I would use this week's Mojo Monday sketch which shows off two of my new goodies quite nicely. The first is my Lift Me Up bundle from the current Occasions catalog.
Despite being deathly afraid of heights, I am fascinated with hot air balloons. I am one of those that admire from afar. This particular die is so beautiful that I wanted to showcase it. It looked way too flat alone so I cut another one out in Calypso Coral cardstock and glued two of the edges together and squeezed them to make the balloon more balloon-like.
